Operational Resilience Scoring: Make Risk Factors Inspectable
A resilience or risk score can help a team compare operational states, but the number is only useful if the factors behind it are visible. MyOpsAgent's approach to operational scoring is to support the decision with traceable signals rather than present a score as an unexplained prediction.
Possible Resilience Factors
Depending on the organisation and workflow, factors can include:
- single points of capability dependency;
- resource or asset availability;
- schedule margin and critical timing;
- workload concentration;
- constraint pressure;
- number and quality of valid recovery alternatives; and
- downstream impact if a task or resource changes.
Use Scores for Comparison, Not False Precision
A score is most useful when comparing the same governed model over time or comparing alternative plans under the same scoring rules. It should not be presented as a universal probability of failure unless the underlying model has been designed and validated for that purpose.
Connect the Score to an Actionable Explanation
The user should be able to see which factors increased risk and which recovery action would reduce it. This turns scoring into operational guidance rather than a dashboard number that somebody still has to interpret manually.
